Fun for all the family

We weren't recommended by Time Out amongst the best kid friendly festivals this summer for nothing!

We're so excited about all of the kids' activities we have planned for Together (thank you to our fantastic volunteer, Jo, for organising them).

We have a weekend full of creative fun and games in store, with kids free to enjoy the beautiful countryside and woods. The sun will shine (the long forecasts are good), you can expect the little ones to blossom in the great outdoors and sleep soundly at night.

With the exception of the Sunday cinema club, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times on site.

No-one needs to go to bed hungry or with twigs in their hair, we have hot showers and food stalls selling tasty treats until way after bedtime. Nothing else to say except, don't forget your hat!

Butterflies on Sticks:
Find a stick in the woods, make some paper butterflies, attach them with magic fishing nylon and see them fly.

Pom Pom Bouncers:
Make your own brightly coloured pom poms and bounce them around on 'doingy' elastic.

Den Building:
Have an adventure in the woods and make a den. We'll be making mini teepees for little ones to play in.

Shadow Puppets:
Make your own shadow puppets and then later in the evening, find the screen in the woods to make your own puppet show. Friday bedtime story might be told with shadow puppets!

Dragonfly Workshop:
Decorate bamboo balancing dragonflies and take them to the hat disco to dance.

Hat Disco:
A special line up of DJs playing especially for the little ones and bubble machines galore! Bring your own hat and show us your moves! 11 until 12 on Saturday morning.

Olive's Hello To Hula Hooping:
Olive (aged 8) will be showing you all the skills to start hula-hooping.

Leaf Lantern Workshop:
Make a lantern and take part in a parade around the site, finishing up in the woods.

Pebble Painting:
Decorate a pebble using chalk pens, all materials provided.

Bedtime Stories:
Bring your own pillow and enjoy a bedtime story read by a storyteller.

Sunday Cinema Breakfast:
It's Sunday! Lie in and watch cartoons and animations in the Awamu Yurt with a breakfast snack.

Treasure Hunt:
Sunday 1pm. Can you spot all of the treasures to win a team prize?

Letters From Kampala Lucky Dip:
Luck dip for a letter written by one of Awamu's children in Kampala, then write and send one back.  A new pen friend is always welcome!

Tuck Shop:
A tuck shop of penny sweets will be open for a limited time daily.

Plus: Face Painting, Bouncy Castle, Mural Painting, Campfire and marshmallows and much, much more!
