We’re very excited that our friends at Purple Radio have given us the opportunity throw an extra special Christmas Party! We’ve a whole weekend of music, fun and games lined up for you.
It’s an excuse for us to connect and help raise urgent funds to get Awamu’s new life-saving project off the ground. For one week only we have the opportunity to have all donations given via Awamu’s Big Give appeal page DOUBLED!
This means any support you give during the weekend party will have twice the impact.
Mostly you just have to tune in and listen over the weekend but below are a few highly reccomended things to do if you fancy taking part.
No 1: Come on in and say hello!
The Together forum is a place to chat, comment, give shout outs to the wonderful artists giving their time to help raise funds.

No 1: MAKE IT A DOUBLE!
Recreate that feel good feeling you get when you buy a drink at the bar at Together: dig out your Together cup, get stocked with plenty of ice and your favourite tipples. Then tip the artists playing by donating the £’s you save by running your own bar to our Big Give Appeal every time you have a drink. The Big Give will make it a double at no extra cost to you!
£5 will be doubled to £10 which could provide a girl with a safe night’s stay in a refuge
£25 will be doubled to £50 which could provide a month of meals at the shelter
£60 will be doubled to £120 which could buy a sewing machine helping us train girls in skills that will help them earn a living and become strong indepdent women
£100 will be doubled to £200 which could buy beds, blankets and pillows for the shelter
No 3: Put on your thinking cap & sign up for the BIG Together pub quiz
This year Vannie and Tom will be hosting our mega Together house party online quiz. You can take part on your own, with the people you live with or in remote teams. The quiz is suitable for the whole family.
You can get ahead of the game by inviting all your friends to take part - if you bring along someone new to Together, they might even give your team a bonus point!
No 6: Check out the schedule
From folk to techno, reggae to ragga, acoustic mellowness to party bangers, we’ve got a stonking lineup of music planned for your aural pleasure. Grab your diary to make sure you don’t miss your favourite set - and don’t forget to dust off those dancing shoes!
No 7: Spread the word
The more people who join the party & donate, the more vital funds we can raise for our emergency appeal to help support the vital work that Florence, Sarah and all of the team do on the ground in Kampala. So please spread the word and invite friends & family to participate.
No 8: Win tickets to Together 23
Each donation made to the to Awamu’s Big Give Appeal will be entered into our free prize draw to win tickets for Together Festival 23.
There is one family ticket, and two adult tickets up for grab. Make sure you opt in to hear from Awamu when you making a donation - otherwise your details won’t be shared with us and we can’t enter you.
